about us

We're diverse, driven women and mothers who catalyze the success of other smart, diverse, driven women. At the end of the day, we're all just using the gift of their lives to do good.

We're also serious about Our Values.

We do three things.

1. We run a Mastermind Community that centers the needs and experiences of Black and WOC nonprofit consultants.

2.  We run luxury retreats designed to offer personal and professional development, empowerment, and restoration centering the needs of #boss WOC.

3. With particular expertise in optimizing national virtual/remote environments, we consult with progressive nonprofit organizations and support with interim executive placements, strategy, and project management.

We've supported work in the United States, Canada, Africa, Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.

About the Founder & CEO

This is important. Kamilah once organized and traveled to four countries in five weeks with her one and three year old children. All that comes along with that tells you just about everything you need to know about her. But for more, read on :).

Kamilah has lived her life with a steadfast connection to continued growth and evolution and an unwavering sense of purpose and equity. She has started organizations and businesses from the time she was a wee tot to help improve the lives of people and to do her small part in making the world a better place. She likes to color outside the lines, and encourages people to figure out and show up as their authentically best selves.

Although she spent a lot of time outside as a kid and brought the first recycling program to her elementary school before anyone knew anything about recycling in the '80s, she officially discovered that she was a nature/environment-lover at 30 years old when she accepted an invitation from a friend to go on her first hike in Malibu while living/working/graduate degree'ing in Los Angeles as a National Urban Fellow. It was in that moment that she added a passion for nature and a love of photography to her personal purpose to help black, brown, and other marginalized people have exposure to new spaces and experiences, and to help create access to opportunity.

Kamilah has 20 years of experience in program and organizational development, education, and philanthropy. Helping programs grow/evolve, managing change, strengthening teams, developing strategy, executing on projects, and growth and  innovation are what make her tick professionally. She earned a Master’s in Public Administration through the National Urban Fellows Leadership Accelerator and a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management. Kamilah has spoken to audiences all over the world, from the United Nations in New York City to the Global Student Leaders Summit in Costa Rica to virtual seminars that reach Australia and Ghana. She is in her happiest place when she is experiencing the beauty and peace of nature or supporting young people and women in reaching their fullest potential.
